Im off to Montreal tomorrow for my birthday weekend with some of my favourite people on the planet. This seems to be becoming a bit of a trend with me, the first time I went there I went with Ash and Elisa (hi kiwis!!), this time Im roattripping with Chris, Hilary and Christian — with several other friends meeting us there. I have no idea how long this little cabin has stood on the CNE grounds, but Im guessing it’s been a while. I tried to make my way over to the little sign that would have told me the information I sought, but the generator at the base of the wind turbine (which it sits next to) kicked in, seriously creeping me out. Had to leave, sorry.

A little bit of springtime to help make it through the last week of February. This was taken at Allan Gardens on a blisteringly cold day in January. Roben and I wondered about for hours through all of the conservatories but I think my favourite was the one this lovely lady resided in.

This is still my favourite photo that I’ve taken. It’s of my friend Tsuki’s daughter Melia, smooshing a bubbley toy into her face. What I like about it is the the clarity of the colours, but what I love about it is how spontaneous it was.

Finally! I have a template working on this site that not only pleases me aesthetically, also works as it should. Hurrah! Im on the hunt for an EXIF plugin though, so if anyone know of any, please let me know. I tried using YAPB but found it didnt really do what I wanted, or that it did, but that it needed a lot of backend finessing and I just didnt feel like doing it.
Anyway! This is good, I can customize the design from here and make things all nice …

A few weeks ago, Toronto held it’s annual Winterlicious festival. On the weekends, at city hall, was a fire display that I was a bit slow in visiting. You would think that being a fire-spinner myself, I would have gone the first I heard of this, but no — even though I’d planned to go the first weekend it was on. Quite the opposite.
