One year!
That’s right, this time last year I was sitting pretty on a 15-hour Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong. Not having left Toronto by plane in over a decade this was pretty spectacular. Sure, my flight left at midnight, but wow there was no way in hell I was going to fall asleep. I was so excited! Even though it was the dead of night, I think my nose left marks on the window from being pressed against it for at least the first hour of the journey as I stared in marvel at how clear the stars were and the size of the moon. As Ive written about before, I love flying. I have an incurable flight-lust that has taken me totally by surprise. I love everything about flying, even though I ride in coach. God help me the day I fly business (or wow, First Class). I think I will cry from the beauty of it all.
I keep thinking that I should have some kind of momentous post to mark the passing of this auspicious date, but truth be told Im not really coming up with anything juicy. Ive been writing a lot lately about my goings-ons, so there isnt really much news to share. All the insight that I have on being a Canadian Down Under Ive already shared with you. So instead Ive chosen to leave you with my favourite photographs from the past twelve months. If I can ever get my act together I will make this into some kind of uber slick video presentation complete with Kiwiana soundtrack, but for now just click the “next” button, k? K.

Whats the story on how taylor’s mistake got it’s name?
According to google, it’s because it was mistaken for nearby Sumner on more than one occasion, by more than one Mr Taylor: http://www.taylorsmistake.com/about-us/history/
