I’ve been back from Australia for a few weeks now, but have been finding it really hard to sit down and write my thoughts and experiences on the things I’m doing. I guess that is a sure sign that I’m having a good time!
Before Kiwiburn, there was Rainbow Serpent. I had gone last year with Stephanie, Alex and Tim. This year, Steph and I had a new and fantastic crew to run with. Our experience this year could not have been more different than last years — where in 2009 …

That’s right, this time last year I was sitting pretty on a 15-hour Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong. Not having left Toronto by plane in over a decade this was pretty spectacular. Sure, my flight left at midnight, but wow there was no way in hell I was going to fall asleep. I was so excited! It’s taken a few weeks to sort everything out to a place where Im confident sharing my plans, but I think I’ve everything in order. Now all I need is money to pay …

I’ve been sitting on the fence about whether or not to go back to Australia next January. In a year that will see me travelling through New Zealand, Thailand and South Korea, adding in a fourth destination seemed a little gluttonous. I was also balking as the lineup wasn’t thrilling me. I realized a few …

Everything is falling together effortlessly, and Im feeling really good about my decision to move cities. Of course, I still dont have work lined up there, and the money I have now isnt going to go very far, but at least I moving in a positive direction instead of spinning my wheels.

A belated g’day mates to you all! Ive been back in New Zealand almost a week now, so it’s high time I show off some shots of Melbourne before I get distracted by something else (ohh how easy that happens). I spent Jan 22-31 in Australia, visiting Stephanie and going to Rainbow Serpent. After the festival, Alex and I spent the week walking around the city taking in the sights. We walked along the Yarra (even saw a few jellyfish!), went to the Melbourne Museum, and to the Shrine of …
