A very tricksy ball player, at Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre

After spending the afternoon walking up the steep streets of Montmartre to view the sublime Sacré-Coeur basilica, the very last thing I expected to see was a ridiculously fit man hop-up onto a pillar and begin to do the most amazing things with his soccer ball. For at least the next half an hour, while vendors sold icy cold beer, I sat and watched with several hundred other people as the busker/athlete did tricks with the ball, stood on his hands, took off his jacket and then shirt, and eventually climb up a nearby lamppost, all with Paris laid out behind him as a perfect backdrop! He really was spectacular!
